Finding a few moments of quiet time for myself, I took a short walk to get away from the house and phone calls. Over a couple of weeks I had faced some trying times and just needed to be alone with God and slow down a bit. I had begun to develop a Woe is Me attitude, and Satan was doing his best to keep me there. I should have never allowed myself to get to that point, but I did and there was no one to blame but me.
I felt some better after reading a few verses in Micah 7: 1 realizing that I wasnt alone and this was nothing new. Many before me have been going through the same thing. Ive heard Misery Loves Company, I wouldnt wish that on anyone! But it is encouraging to know, there have been others who have actually walked in your shoes and come out the victor.
Micah 7: 7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. 11 Samuel 22:7 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. KJV
Isnt it comforting to know that God hears, cares, loves and delivers us out of all our trials? We can be victorious.
We dont have to get to the point of woe, but if we do, God does hear and he answers.
Liberating Son
There was a time so long ago
When the truth, I did not know,
Rendered me helpless.
Fear and doubt filled my mind
With each passing hour of time,
I felt so hopeless.
Then one day I heard of Christ;
How He came to give new life,
Yet He was sinless.
He hung there on the tree,
Becoming sin to set me free,
Making me guiltless.
It was all because of Love,
Im redeemed now by His blood,
Living life in fullness!
Galatians 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,
being made a curse for us; for it is written
Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. KJV
